Welcome to IRONBUILT. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the IRONBUILT website and apps (together, "the app"). By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
IRONBUILT is a community-made army list builder and companion toolset for tabletop wargames. It lets you build and save army lists, look up reference information, and use tools such as damage estimation ("mathhammer"). Some features require a free, optional account for cross-device sync.
IRONBUILT also includes optional social features — a public profile, allies, a feed, published lists and comments. These are opt-in: the app is fully usable without an account and without a profile.
The core list builder is free and will remain free. Optional paid tiers add extra tools; they never remove something a free account could already do.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
IRONBUILT is completely unofficial and is in no way endorsed by or affiliated with Games Workshop Limited. Warhammer, Warhammer 40,000, and all associated names, logos, rules, points values, images, and other intellectual property are the property of Games Workshop Limited or their respective owners. Game data shown in the app is community-derived reference material provided for personal, non-commercial use. It is used without permission and with no challenge to Games Workshop's rights intended.
What IRONBUILT provides is the software and tools we built. We do not sell, license, or claim any ownership of Games Workshop's intellectual property. If you are a rights holder and believe content should be removed or corrected, please contact us and it will be actioned promptly (see the takedown policy on the Art Credits & Legal page).
The game data in the app is maintained by the community and may be incomplete, out of date, or incorrect. IRONBUILT is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. Always confirm rules, points, and list legality against the current official publications. IRONBUILT is not a substitute for the official rules and should not be relied upon for tournament or competitive rulings.
You do not need an account to use IRONBUILT. If you choose to create one, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. Please provide accurate information and tell us promptly of any unauthorized use. See our Privacy Policy for how account data is handled.
Army lists and other content you create remain yours. By using account sync, you grant IRONBUILT permission to store and transmit that content solely to provide the service (such as syncing it across your devices). We do not claim ownership of your lists and do not sell them.
If you publish a list, post or comment, you grant us permission to display it to other users of the app as the feature intends, for as long as you leave it published. You can unpublish or delete it at any time. Publishing is always a separate, deliberate action — saving a list does not publish it.
If you use the social features, you agree not to post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or that impersonates another person; and not to use profiles, posts or comments to spam or advertise.
Other users can report content. We may remove a comment, list or post, or suspend a profile, where we consider these Terms to have been broken. Where we do, we will tell you what was actioned and why. A suspended profile is hidden from other users for the stated period; the rest of the app, including your saved lists, remains available to you.
We keep a record of moderation decisions, including the notice sent to you, so that decisions can be reviewed and applied consistently. See the Privacy Policy. If you believe a decision was wrong, contact us and we will look at it again.
You agree not to: use the app for any unlawful purpose; attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its systems; scrape, resell, or redistribute the app's software or data in a way that infringes any third party's rights; or misuse the app in a way that harms other users or the service.
IRONBUILT offers optional paid tiers ("Supporter") that enable additional tools. The core list builder does not require them.
Where you buy. Memberships are purchased on ironbuilt.app. The iOS and Android apps do not sell anything — they reflect the membership your account already has. Sign in to the app with the same account and everything you are entitled to is enabled there. This means you will not find a purchase option inside the mobile apps, and that is deliberate rather than an error.
Billing and renewal. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your card details. Memberships are sold on a monthly or annual basis and renew automatically at the then-current price for the same period, charged to your payment method on the renewal date, until you cancel.
Cancelling. You may cancel at any time from your account page on ironbuilt.app. Cancelling stops future renewals; your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate a partial period on cancellation.
Refunds. If something has gone wrong, contact us. We will consider a refund at our discretion within 14 days of a charge, less any portion of the period already used. This is in addition to any refund right you have under the law where you live, which these Terms do not limit.
Gifted memberships are final. A gift is delivered the moment the payment completes: the months are added to other players’ accounts straight away, and those players have no part in the transaction and no way to give the time back. Gift purchases are therefore not refundable. Please be sure of the number before you buy. This does not limit any refund right you have under the law where you live.
Credits and codes. Free membership time granted by a code, promotion or gift has no cash value, is not transferable, and cannot be exchanged for money. A code may be withdrawn if it is obtained or used in a way it was not intended for.
Price changes. We will give at least 30 days' notice before a price change takes effect, and a change never applies to a period you have already paid for. If you do not want to continue at the new price, cancel before it takes effect.
Taxes. Prices are shown exclusive of any tax that may apply in your location; applicable tax is calculated at checkout.
We may add, change, or remove features at any time, and we may limit or discontinue the app in whole or in part. If we remove a feature that is part of a paid membership you are currently in, we will either replace it or refund the unused portion of that period.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, IRONBUILT and its maintainers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Your use of the app is at your own risk.
The app relies on third-party services (such as hosting and account storage) and may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties, and your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies.
You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account from within the app. Deleting your account ends any active membership; it does not by itself trigger a refund, so cancel and use the remaining period first if that matters to you.
We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated or where necessary to protect the app and its users. If we terminate a paid account for something other than a breach of these Terms, we will refund the unused portion of the current period.
If these Terms change, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
